Christmas Weekend
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
Well, it got up to 36F on Christmas Eve, warm enough to hand wash my GTO. I’ve been driving it the last few days, so she was a bit dirty. All clean now!

My main gift on Christmas day was another GTO!!! That’s right, but only 18th the size of the gasoline variety. It’s a diecast from GMP.

Here I am saying good bye to my family before going home to my new family.
713
My master wrapped me good and tight. It was very cold outside.
716
This is the best beef stick I've ever had!
719
That's me eating some hard and soft kibble. Master says my poop smells bad after eating the soft kibble
722
I was so very tired after playing ball. Master taught me to play fetch!! So I took a nap in his chair.

Added More Live Rock
Here are two damsels that I gave to the LFS. I've had these guys and one other for years. But I did not want them in the reef system. One is known to pick on soft corals. Also, they are MEAN little guys. They kept on bothering Moby and never left him alone. I'll miss em' but it's time for some clowns and a royal gramma.

Bye bye little fellow. This guy had a few screws loose. He would sometimes swim vertical, sort of hovering with his nose up in the "air". I removed him and two other damsels before I added the 28 lbs of live rock.

Puppy!
It looks like I’ll be buying a puppy this Friday. The breeder brought him into the LFS (local fish store) and Mom fell in love with him. Don’t tell anyone, but I sorta did too… :) He is a mixed breed, a Yorkie/Carin terrier. It looks like he has more Yorkshire than Carin in him.

Here is the family. Bailey is the mother. A carin terrier. The black runt will be mine, he was the only black one. There are two brown females and one brown male.

Here he is eating. So he isn't 100% reliant on mom.

Algae!!
ARG! Algae! Well, it’s a new setup, so the aquarium will go through a few stages of algae.

So I decided to take care of the problem. Anyway, I picked up 7 Mexican Turbo snails (recommended by the LFS) about a week ago.

GTO under snow
It's a good thing I had that car cover. Snow came early in Indiana. This was on the day before Thanksgiving.

New Light
I bought a new light on the 12th for my tank. The old light was only 65 watts (I think). That is no where near what I need for a reef tank. So I picked up a 192 watt lighting system. Before this light, the tank actually looked yellow in color. I never noticed until I put the new light on!!
Here is the old light

And now the new light

I also bought some more hermit crabs. 4 are blue legged hermits. I’m not sure what the big guy is…. He ended up dieing about 24 hours after I got him.

New inhabitants for the fish tank
On November, 2nd 2005 I bought several new inhabitants for my saltwater aquarium.
A Diamond Goby, a green sand sifter starfish, and 5 baby blue-legged hermit crabs. I named the goby Moby. :)
Here is Moby in his new home.
I love that little guy. There was algae all over the bottom of the tank. He took care of it in a matter of hours. But now it's like a dust storm in the tank. He kicks of a lot of crap. I hope that will settle down over time, or maybe just siphon it out during my weekly 10% water changes.
